Please join us for Reubens for Rotary 2019. Now in our fourth year, this is our all-out artisanal extravanganza featuring everything gourmet for the benefit of Rotary’s projects abroad and right here in town. Already aging away are wheels of cheeses (lemon vodka goat, blue gouda, bloomy robiola, tallegio, jarlsberg, and coastal blue), spicy and fennel coppa, tuscan salami, and kialbasa. We discovered sourdough this year, and so we’ll have boules and baskets and buns of chewy, tangy breads. We’ll of course have the best Reubens this side of the Danube. Vegetarians and vegans will delight.

Thank you for all who have come in the past. Through our party and the power of Rotary, we’ve raised over $200,000 to build an aqueduct in the Berber villages of Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains where Rotarian Steve Carlson previously served in the Peace Corps. We just received final approval from Rotary to proceed, and fingers crossed, construction will be underway by the time of the party. We returned from the village in April for final planning — check out our project page with photos and details. Further fundraising will go to the next phase of the aqueduct.

On the local front, from last year’s party we bought a set of garbage and recycling cans for the Industrial Arts District of San Carlos, down by Devils Canyon and the wineries – we’re working with the local business leaders to clean up one of the coolest areas in town. Check out our cans right in front of Cuvee Winery.

Please join us for this one-of-a-kind party to benefit Rotary’s global and local projects. Tickets are $80, available online at the link below (or mail a check to Rotary Club of San Carlos, P.O. Box 515, San Carlos CA 94070)
