For ten thousand years man faced the challenge of preserving food without the benefit of refrigeration.  Drying, salting, smoking, fermenting, pickling, curing and culturing have long had a role in bringing food to the table.  While most of us find all of our food in the local grocery, Steve has made a hobby out of making and preserving food the old fashion way, but with state of the art equipment.  These pictures show a sample of some of the foods Steven has produced at his home.  Enjoy the pictures.  If you would like to taste some if these creations, please come to Reubens for Rotary where some of these delights will be available for your tasting pleasure.
